The camps of the UK have a reputation for having some of the best camping in the world.
But which camp has the best camp food?
We asked our FourFourtwo team to pick the best UK campers, so we can share the food with you.
Camp VerdeCamp Verdes campgrounds, also known as campgrounds in France, are located in the French Alps and are home to a number of world-class campsites.
Camp Verda, a popular UK camp, is in the region of Côte d’Azur, which is a long way away from the nearest towns.
The location of Camp Verde is convenient for those who have to travel in the middle of winter when temperatures drop to -10C and are only able to stay in the park for two days before having to go back to their cars.
When you think about it, Camp Verdes is quite a short distance from a major tourist destination like Nice, which hosts a popular ski resort, Lille.
Camping in France is not without its challenges however.
The cost of renting a car to camp in the Alps can reach £10,000 a day, which can easily become prohibitive if you don’t have a car.
And the campsites are very far from most major cities, with the nearest being in the northern French city of Bordeaux, a mere five hours away from Nice.
There are also some campsites that are a bit further away from your town and closer to the coast.
So when it comes to camping in France you will have to make do with the best quality of food available.
But there are some things that you can do to make the most of your time in France.
In a recent article, FourFour Two magazine talked to campers who described camping as an experience that can be ‘very special’.
There were some who described campers as ‘sad, lonely, lonely’ and there were some campers who described it as ‘an experience you have never had before’.
However, there are also those who described it as a summer dream come true.
A guidebook published by the National Parks Authority of France recommends that people camping in Europe, particularly in France should make sure they take into account the weather.
If you are in the UK and plan on camping in one of the four British camps mentioned, be sure to check that the weather is suitable for you.
Also be sure you have enough food, so that you don´t go hungry.
We also spoke to camp site managers from Camp Verdo who shared their thoughts on camping and camp food.
They shared their favourite British camping experiences, as well as tips and tricks for staying healthy and happy at camp.
