The camper that NASA sent to Mars to build the Orion spacecraft and the Orion capsule that launched it was built with more than 100,000 pounds of supplies and equipment inside, including a fuel tank.
NASA has been testing the Orion’s ability to land on the moon and send astronauts back to Earth since 2010.
The camper’s crew included a NASA astronaut and a Japanese robotic scientist.
It was used for testing the capsule’s ability for landing on the surface of the moon.
In 2018, the Japanese company DSCOVR was awarded a $5 million NASA grant to build a lunar module for astronauts to use.
The company plans to launch the module in 2020.
