Campers in Ohio are now having a little fun with camper vans, as the first two camper van companies are looking to expand their business.
In the coming months, Camper Van Rentals is planning to open a third company in Toledo, and in 2018, the two companies plan to open their first Ohio site.
The Ohio Travel Bureau and the Ohio State Fair are planning a big tent festival, and the companies plans to offer discounted rates to campers who can provide a camper for the entire family, according to Ohio Travel and Tourism Secretary Brad Hirsch.
The companies plans have not been released, but Hirsch said in an email that the company is “extremely excited” about the event.
The companies are partnering with Ohio State Parks to host the event, which is set for Nov. 14.
Campers who want to rent a campaigner van will be able to rent for as little as $50 per night, according of Ohio Travel.
They can bring their own camping gear, a tent, and bedding for a flat rate of $55 per night.
The two companies will be available to rent campervan rentals in Toledo for a limited time, and Ohio Travel is offering a discount for Ohio residents who register their names and email addresses on the company’s website.
Ohio Travel and the Fair are expected to announce their new Toledo locations in the coming weeks.
Camping in Ohio was a big deal during the 2016 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
While the companies have plans to expand, it’s still not known if they will start opening up in Ohio soon.
The two companies have not yet revealed any additional locations.
